Rules and Regulations for W.L.O.P. Events

1. Every lifter must be a member of the world legion of power.
2. Every lifter in the drug-free competition must be willing to submit to random drug testing throughout the calendar year.
3. No bench-press shirts of any sort will be allowed in competition.
4. Even lockouts, without the assistance of anyone, are permitted. (As long as the lifter eventually locks out both the arms without assistance from a spotter, the lift will be considered good.)
5. Reverse travel of the bar rule: if the bar starts to descend, and the lifter is able, without assistance from a spotter, to re-group and complete the lift, this lift will be considered good.
6. The only command given by the head judge will be "Press" when the bar is at the chest.
7. Wrist wraps are permitted.
8. Weightlifting belts are permitted.
9. Singletts are preferred.
10. Ultra-raw lifts are preferred. (No bench press shirt, no belt, no wrist wraps).
11. The lifter's feet are permitted to move during the lift, so long as any part of the food remains in contact with the floor.
12. The buttocks should remain in contact with the bench during the lift.
13. The lifter's head is permitted to come off the bench.
14. The lifter is permitted to wear whatever type of footwear he/she deems necessary, as long as that footwear is not platform in construction as to give that lifter an arching advantage.
15. Yelling is permitted, as long as what is yelled does not offend anyone present at the meet. Such as racial comments, loud profanity, etc.
16. Weights can be decreased after failure to make any lift.
17. Special provision for world record attempts: under the established by -laws of the world legion of power, any World Champion in good standing with the W.L.O.P. will be allowed to petition for a "record-breaking". A judge or committee will assemble for the sole purpose of witnessing the breaking of an existing record. At least one duly recognized official judge from the W.L.O.P. must be present, a video, and at least one other witness. All attempts made under this provision will be recorded and made a matter of public knowledge. This provision offers that lifter the opportunity to set a world record whenever he or she feels they are at their physical peak, eliminating the " I missed my peak" excuse.
18. The chairman and CEO appoint all judges.
19. The CEO and the chairman make all final decisions. The CEO and the chairman make all decisions about policy matters.
20. The official sponsor of the W.L.O.P. is " Advanced Power Sciences" which -in turn- can have a co-sponsor at the discretion of the CEO or chairman.
21. The motto of W.L.O.P. is HEALTH, STRENGTH & WISDOM; THE QUEST FOR TRUE GREATNESS.
